Our society is made up of families and what the heads of families make of it. The home should be a little heaven on earth, a place where affection is cultivated. The home should be a haven of love, nurturing, sympathy, hospitality, and true respect and courtesy to others.

Women, we are solemnly responsible for filling the position which God originally designed us to be. The world needs women not merely in name, but in every sense of the word. God wants women to stand out because He knows we have something to offer the world. Women are capable, intellectual, innovative, powerful, resourceful, visionary, ambitious, diplomatic, compassionate, and masterful. We are courageous and inspire total confidence in those who rely on us – husbands, children, parents, friends, bosses, co-workers, churches, or the communities or societies we live in.

Whether a woman at home with small children, retired, empty nester, single, married, divorced, widowed, or whatever status we hold or situation we are in, a loving God cares much for us. He paid the ultimate prize that we may live our lives abundantly.

Ladies, when a woman’s influence is for truth, for virtue, when she is guided by divine wisdom, the power of God will be with her and in her. Her words, actions, and her looks will bear her testimony, and many may be transformed and saved by her positive influence. The thoughts and feelings of the woman will be a powerful influence on the legacy she exudes to others.

God made woman very different from man, and we must realize that our womanhood is a gift to be treasured, valued, received and accepted with gratitude. Our womanhood is also a privilege that comes with insurmountable, inexhaustible, and inescapable responsibilities rooted in the reason God created us. Think of all the hats you wear- wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, counselor, teacher, cook, mentor, nurse, doctor, spiritual leader, educator, peacemaker, judge, and so on.

With tender, compassionate, and empathetic words, women can bind up broken spirits, mend broken hearts, strengthen the weak, and heal the hurting. Women can break down, and they can build up.

Women come in different shapes, sizes, and personalities. Some draw strength from a quiet and reserved nature, while others are loud and boisterous. No matter what your personality or personal preference, you must realize the sacredness of your work, and with God’s strength, take up your responsibility as a mission. We are to acknowledge, cherish, and respect our responsibility as women, and live not only to please ourselves, but more significantly, to glorify God, our Maker.
